Leg 2 of the 79 Mile Scenic Trail
I did the second walk on Friday from Chinatown to the North Shore. Then I forget the name of the actual area, but it's near Coit Tower. Then over to pier 39 and the Embarcadero.
I had on stupid rainboots that were a little too big and I was trudging up this crazy steep hill and I walked under this fire escape and felt a bunch of water falling on my head and I had this flash in my mind of an eighty year old woman dumping her commode out the fire escape and mentally freaked for a second and tried to look up but I was like already bent almost in half from being in such bad shape while walking up this fucking #5 steepness of a hill and somehow lost my balance and felt myself in my stupid clown boots begin to stumble in slow motion but I couldn't break my fall because I had a brand new iced tea, extra ice, unsweetened, from Starbucks and my phone and my umbrella and my guide book so I couldn’t break my fall except for with my elbows and my face.
After the level five hill that I wiped out on, I stopped at the suggested bathroom break place. It was a cute little park in China Town, I forget the name. They had those metal prison cell toilets that I hate but are still better than no bathrooms or outhouses or porta potties at all. I secretly wished I could hold my cut elbows against the cool steel of the commode, if they hadn’t been covered in various forms of e. Coli.
